Rotana Jet, reveals aggressive expansion plan - broadens its network with announcement of additional destinations in GCC and Levant

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 23 April 2015: Rotana Jet, the scheduled carrier of UAE, today announced its aggressive expansion plan by introducing new destinations and increasing frequencies to its existing destinations.

Dr. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, the Chairman of Rotana Jet Aviation said that “Being a UAE owned national company, Rotana Jet is aware of its responsibilities and committed to work towards achieving the vision of UAE's Leadership. The already significant demand for air travel services between Abu Dhabi and other cities is expected to grow further in tandem with the many developments in the UAE and Rotana Jet is proud to play a contributing role in connecting the Capital Abu Dhabi with other cities - be it domestic, regional and international. The air connectivity that Rotana Jet introduces to Abu Dhabi has a positive impact on trade and comprehensive development of Abu Dhabi. It also increases tourism, provides choice for the consumer and supports air cargo shipments to and from regional and international centers. On the other hand, he stressed that the company is working towards achieving the ambitions and aspiration of its customers.

Rotana Jet expansion reaches new heights on 23rd April 2015 with the launch of flights between Abu Dhabi and Beirut, the Lebanese capital. Beirut is Rotana Jet's first destination in Levant and its 11th worldwide. Rotana Jet also intends to operate daily flights to Doha in Qatar and points in Egypt soon. In addition to the new destinations, frequencies to the existing destinations including Salalah, Muscat and Kuwait has been increased.

In view of the growing importance of promoting tourism, Rotana Jet is set to launch Rotana Travel and Tourism, a destination management and holiday's company. Rotana Travel and Tourism will distribute competitively-priced vacation packages to destinations operated by Rotana Jet including Colombo, Mattala, Sir Bani Yas, Beirut, points in Egypt and other popular destinations.

Rotana Jet currently operates flights to Colombo, Mattala, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat and Salalah in addition to the flights to Sir Bani Yas Island, Delma and Dubai. Rotana Jets scheduled flights to all destinations can be booked either through the website , through the call centre or through travel agents.

The Executive Charter fleet consists of the legendary Gulfstream G450, the market leader in its segment with true intercontinental capability for up to 16 passengers and an Airbus A319ER (extended range) in a bespoke 32 business class and 18 economy class seat configuration capable of flying non‐stop from Abu Dhabi to London, Singapore, Johannesburg or Casablanca.

The Scheduled Airline Fleet currently consists of three (3) Embraer ERJ‐145 and an Airbus A319 in a 12 business class + 108 economy seat configuration with the ability to join city pairs in the GCC , MENA and South Asia region. A third Airbus A319 is scheduled to join the fleet later in the month.

In addition to the charter and scheduled operations, Rotana Jet has established a Technical Operations division providing aircraft maintenance and component support for the G450 and ERJ145 aircraft from its 2,500m2 maintenance facilities at Al Bateen Airport.

The Management Team at Rotana Jet has extensive operational and commercial experience having previously held executive management positions with established and respected organizations world-wide.
